DESCRIPTION | Following the restructuring of its business activities, we were appointed by the company to transfer the compliance activities from France to the London entity. |
APPROACH | The key complexity in this project related to the sensitivities over the internal restructuring process during the migration of the compliance activities. Governance structures were developed and agreed at the start of the project, with regular review meetings with the Head of Compliance. Our approach focused on a pragmatic project approach with rigorous change management and strong communication across the following key areas of activity; the Structured Products desk, Markets desk, and Market Risk desk. This involved reviewing existing compliance programmes; documentation of processes and key controls and performing design effectiveness reviews. Workshops, followed by hands-on training were provided to the Compliance team, the desks and individuals with controlled function responsibility to embed the new processes. We also ensured key areas of risks over products and systems were addressed and covered by stringent testing. |
BENEFIT AND OUTCOME | This project delivered a controlled migration of the compliance function and increased knowledge, awareness and control over the risk control infrastructure |
